ECLIPSE

Midnight
Dialogues in blue ascending to
The flying of hieroglyphics
Balancing purpler songs
Tossing flowers into the wind
Giving light into the nights of magic

An enigma 22, you
Like some circus performer with birds
Painting dreams, pointing to infinity
And absolute endlessness

I wonder-
I wonder-
Who were the progenitors to the cosmic confrontations?
What were the dialogues between you
And some descending angel?

Views of life from the emerald planet
Crab nebula man dissections
Playing in clouds of bubble dances
Poets, won and poets too
In awe of you

Astral thinking projecting farewell shots
Ringing in my bed
Singing in my head

How did you become the ultimate kite flyer
Electric future man?
The sky exploded into dust
And you became your own eclipse

A MOTHER'S GARDEN

Just beneath the window pane
A moment in time is suspended
Within a glass frame
Under a blosoming, graceful tangerine branch
A mother's garden flowers dance
Tones of buttercup, heather and periwinkle blue
Are sweetly embroidered in fragrant hues
Amongst them tiny finches flew
All glistened with the morning dew

As the mother tenderly cared for her garden with love
High above earth's muddy breast
An angel watched from above
And called her home
Too soon!
Too soon!
Just as the fragrant lilacs bloomed

The mother had planted perennial love
In her childrens' souls
And as her tangerine tree and flowers grow
Each son and each daughter somehow knows
That Heaven's Garden is grander this year
Because their mother's heart is near

"Island"

You are an island
In a sea of wilderness
and separation

Deciduous trees,
the visions
Stones,
the desires
Shells,
gathered from timeless coasts

Vessels are conveyed
To far off shores
and
Occassionally seek
Refuge by yours

Yet-
You are an island
Set apart
Far from the bosom of tenderness
Concealed in
What is unrevealed
Cloaked in obscurity

Your spirit
is enclosed
Within your island
It is your being
I am my island too

Islands in a sea of wilderness
and
separation

Were we not so-
I would hear your call
and only whisper
Your countenance
Would appear to be
My mirror

"A SONG WITH NO WORDS"

A song with no words
Sings within my soul
It is a breeze
That cannot be captured

Quill, ink and vellum
It does not know
Translucently within my heart
It flows

I could sigh it
And like a mirage
It would glimmer
Upon the atoms of the air

I know the reflections of its shadow
And
Its tremblings
I see its truths
Mirrored in my tears

Fashioned in meditation
Triumphantly announced with tranquility,
Enveloped in the veil of faithfulness,
Echoed in a subliminal vision,
Quintessential rapture,
Revealed by inspiration

Within its melody
I am captured

My spirit sings it
It is the enchanting song
of
Love

"THIS IS NOT A POEM"

Between the margins of the sea
and
The peak of the loftiest highlands
There is a mystical path
The journey
To become
A child of the earth

It lies along wisdom
and recognition
That you are one with humankind
One with the Universe

Within your hands
Heaven exists
Also Hell
and so,
The path begins
and so,
Wisdom

For
What is accomplishment?
What is the quest?
but
The detachment
>From slumber and awakening

Yet,
There is another path
To journey upon
True harmony
Spirit and soul
Sweetly attuned

But I shall not whisper of it
For you are overburdened
With your voyage
and
This was not a poem
