Sparrow with Flawed Glass Eyes

Sparrow with flawed glass eyes

Floating among the grey features

Black ash like soil pressuring from within

Raindrops like cannon balls shutter the earth

Gusts of wind like thousands of hollowed branches

Sparrow with flawed glass eyes floating among

Matthew Prince recommends:

The Drunken Boat by Arthur Rimbaud

Recommendations for writers:

Writers need to be themselves, it's easy to duplicate another persons style, but only a few can be a true original
